Everyone knows that eating out at a restaurant can be tricky when it comes to making healthy choices, but with Nicole Marchand's help, you can learn how to order food that is both delicious and that provides the body with the nutrients it needs to function at its best. Having graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition, Nicole chose to become a consulting dietician in preventative medicine so she could use her knowledge to help others discover an optimal diet for their particular lifestyle and needs. Nicole now works with The Starving Sailor as our in-house dietician and healthy food correspondent.
Located at both Barrington and South Park Street in Halifax, Indochine is a wonderful Vietnamese and Asian-fusion style menu featuring quick, healthy and reasonably priced meals. Indochine sources their food products locally whenever possible and prepares everything in-house from the citrus mayonnaise and marinades to the bean and lentil pate and kimchi fries (yes you heard correctly, kimchi fries).
